Wellness Center Springtime Allergy Tips

Tina Trost, MD | Mar 29, 2022

Is it my allergies or is it…?

Spring is here, and for many of us that means the onset of allergy season. Pollen from grasses, trees, and flowers can bring on unpleasant symptoms of itchy and watery eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion, even cough and sore throat.

Antibiotics do not work against viruses that cause most colds and sinus infections.

Taking a few steps to keep allergies in check will keep you feeling well and can even decrease the risk of sinus infections. Using indoor air filters, taking medications as prescribed, and checking the weather for local pollen counts are tools you can use to minimize allergy symptoms. Talk with your medical provider if you need help with seasonal allergy control.
