In September, key leadership from Mid-America Carpenters Regional Benefit Services and healthcare providers from Carpenters Wellness Center attended the annual Marathon Health Employer Health Conference: Engage 2023. Marathon Health operates Carpenters Wellness Center, located at 1403 Hampton Ave, in St. Louis.

Throughout the conference, Marathon Health honored members who’ve made significant improvements in their health and recognized providers and clients who’ve made a commitment to helping workers live their best lives. Dr. Tina Trost, MD, a Carpenters Wellness Center primary care physician, was one of the providers recognized. Trost was named 2023 Healthcare Associate of the Year. Dr. Trost attributes the award to the quality of care and teamwork of Carpenters Wellness Center providers as a whole.

“It’s really a testament to the work of everyone in our wellness center,” Dr. Trost said. “Every positive patient experience and outcome is a result of our ability to spend time listening to our patients, collaborate across disciplines, and then tailor care to fit each member’s needs.”

Marathon Health’s advanced primary care model improves access to care and focuses on building relationships with patients. The healthcare teams work together to provide the right tools, education, and support to help patients achieve their health goals and ultimately live healthier lives.

Marathon Health acquired all health centers previously operated by Cerner Workforce Health Solutions on August 1, 2023. As a result, Carpenters Wellness Center, previously operated by Cerner, is now operated by Marathon Health.
